Elspec has been involved in thousands of projects in tough environments and is one of the leading companies in measurements and Power Quality solution in the world. The projects are divided into two main applications. Power Quality Solutions for Industry and Power Quality Solutions for Wind Turbines. In most cases, before supplying power quality solution, Elspec performs thorough power quality survey to determine the type of solution and where to locate it throughout the network. In addition, Elspec performs power quality survey after the installation, to validate the results (such as improving harmonics level, flickering, voltage drop, etc).
Power Quality Solutions for Industry
Elspec has installed a few thousand Real Time Transient Free Reactive Energy Compensation System world wide ranging from 300KVAr to 3000KVAr, in a medium and heavy industry such as, railway, car, plastic, lumber mills, ski-resorts, ports (cranes), metal industry, high-rise building, sugar mills, etc…In most of these applications the requirements were to solve power quality problems such as flickering, voltage drops, resonance, enhancements for network capacity, power saving etc…
Measurement and analysis of each application comes as an integral part of the installation process. Measurements are taken, usually by Elspec portable power quality analyzer, prior to designing each system to specified costumer needs. The analyzed data supports in designing the system. Measurements are taken after installation in order to evaluate the performance of the system.
